Final Outcomes from earlier projects within my Art and Design Foundation course.
My cover pages for the first project on the Foundation called Baseline. Baseline is a magazine devoted to typography, book arts and graphic design.
My cover evolved (through research) into a critique on surveillance and took a modern take on the classic,
See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil.
You Are The Centre of Everything
This project started with the 2D Design group watching Adam Curtis's 'The Century of the Self '- a documentary about:
"how those in power have used Freud's theories to try and control the dangerous crowd in an age of mass democracy." - Curtis
Following this (and more development) I decided to focus on the concept of individuality in modern society and fashion; how that despite us buying from different stores we all wear very similar clothes (and how that's not a bad thing).
I decided to work around Oxfam and second hand clothes- creating a flip book of a woman and man wearing different clothes which the reader could rearrange to look how they want. It would be a snapshot of what was on offer but that was the idea. Though the project didn't proceed past testing I did create a GIF showcasing the basics of the idea.
